Who is Grant Walker?
Grant Walker is a Junior Finance Major at Penn State, involved with the Penn State Wealth Management Association, Delta Sigma Pi, and the Nittany Entrepreneurship Society.
As a student, I spent countless hours reading personal finance books, hoping they would help me manage my money better. But none of them really catered to what I was going through—they talked about mortgages and full-time jobs, not student loans, part-time work, or balancing tuition and rent. I found myself more frustrated and overwhelmed than ever.
Over time, through trial and error, I navigated my way to a system that actually works for me as a student. Now, I’ve automated my finances, created a sustainable budget, and significantly reduced the amount of time I spend managing my money. Instead of stressing over every purchase or bill, I can focus on what matters most to me—my education, experiences, and enjoying college life. That’s why I started Nittany Financial Freedom—to help other students do the same.” – Grant Walker
